Our Book Review – Disgrace – Dee Palmer

After a childhood filled with abuse, torture and rape at the hands of her own mother and so called boyfriend, the day of her 18th birthday, Grace leaves with her one small suitcase and the string of pearls her grandfather left her. It’s time to start a new life, with a new identidy. On her first night out, Sam is born, and if her new friend Leon hadn’t stepped in, it could’ve been her last.

Sam is one of the most sought after Dommes in the BDSM club scenes, known as mistress selina. Her whip skills alone, have her clients coming back for more time and time again.

Jason is the owner of the club where Sam works, and wants nothing more than for her to submit to him. It’s all he’s ever wanted, and why he bought his partner in the club out, so he could be sole owner and keep an eye on Sam.

At first Sam is taken with the idea, but as time goes on, she finds herself not only willingly submitting to Jason, but also falling in love.

But when her past comes back, things change drastically. Not only does she have her ex to deal with, but also the new intern at Jason’s business is making a move on her man.

When Richard (the ex) and Pietra’s ( the intern)sly plan to kidnap Sam finally works, all hell will break loose. Jason will stop at nothing to get his woman back.

The unsavoury and viscous things that happen to Sam are the exact things nightmares are made up of. And not everyone will get out alive.

If you loved Daniel and Bethany’s story, then hold on to your socks ladies (and gents), this story is sexier, hotter and explores the world of BDSM like no other book I’ve read. One word of warning though, please read the last chapter in a well ventilated, cool room, I promise you you will need it!!! Either that or a cold shower.

Way to go Dee, yet another sensational masterpiece, that my mere words cannot do it the justice it so deserves.

A definite, sinfully delicious 5 star read.

Book Review – Stripped Raw by Rebecca Moon

In this, the second book in the series, Rebecca gives us Jason’s story, and boy what a story it is.

Jason has slept with a lot of women, but hits an all time low when he wakes up after a drunken night, in bed with his best friends ex fiancé. While the friendship is now broken, it sure has woken Jason up to his slutty ways. He gives up the party life, alcohol and women.

That is until he meets the new nurse in town, and he’s smitten.

Erin has had a pretty crappy life. She watched her mum throw her life away to drugs. Truly alone for the first time in her life, things go from bad to worse when she discovers she is pregnant. She is determined to keep her baby and give him the life she could only dream of.

Erin and her son Joey move to town and she starts work at the local hospital. On her first day, she encounters Jason after a workplace accident, and while she finds him seriously attractive, there is no way Jason would be interested in her and all her baggage.

When Jason discovers that the sexy new nurse has a son, for some unexplained reason, it makes him more determined to get to know this woman, and hopefully make her his.

As the sparks fly and romance blossoms, Erin and Jason find themselves falling in love. But lurking in the background is a jealous ex and Joeys father, who decides that right now is the right time to fight for custody.

A serious accident will see Erin and Jason’s relationship tested.

Truths will be revealed and lies uncovered.

Will there love for one another triumph all these obstacles?

Yet another brilliantly written story that had us captivated from beginning to end.

A definite 5 star read.

Our Book Review – Stripped Bare by Rebecca Moon

** Review written and provided by Kylie from BFDU **

Sally really does have it all. A perfect job that she absolutely loves, and a handsome boyfriend that she adores. Shane was everything Sally ever looked for in a lover, caring, attentive and doting. But that all changes when he gets caught up in the ramblings of a scorned friend. Shane soon believes all the lies he’s being told about Sally. The infidelity, the lies and the sneaking around sees Shane treating Sally much differently these days.

Sally finally has the courage to leave the abusive relationship with the help of her old school friends Jason and Macy.

When an acquaintance, Damien, catches up with Sally and Macy for coffee one day, the attraction he has towards Sally is something he’s never felt before. But Sally is not her fun loving, joyous self any-more. Shane took that away from her. Shane has stripped her bare. She now spends her days working from home and generally hiding away from the general public.

But this doesn’t deter Damien at all. He showers Sally with gifts and finally asks her out on a date, and even Sally is surprised with herself when she says yes. Could Damien be having the same reaction to her, as she does to him?

As their love blossoms, things just seem too perfect. You are expecting something to happen to upset the balance of perfect harmony, and this book does with heartbreaking effect.

An absolutely beautiful read that had me close to tears one minute and the next giggling like a child.

If you’re a fan of happy ever afters, then I highly recommend this book.

A definite 5 star read

** Review written by Gayle from BFDU **

Okay so I have no idea where to start with this review….This novella has left me completely speechless…..

This my fellow readers is one powerful read. The topic that this novella is based on, unfortunately is a topic that many families, men and/or women are faced with on a daily basis. This is real life. It tortures peoples souls, scars them for life. It breaks down families, marriages. It breaks human spirit. But it can also show the strength and courage that people find within themselves to be survivors. It shows how even in the darkest of moments, light can be found. It shows that hope is sometimes all we have to survive each and every single day.

The Life I Always Wanted….If I had to sum it up in one word….That word would be perfection.
An extremely raw and confronting read, it was simply brilliant. So beautifully written, it drew so many emotions out of me that it took my breath away. I couldn’t put it down. I absolutely loved it.

I honestly cannot rate this book high enough.
A definite must read.

5 stars.
