Our Book Review – The Dark Night Returns by Sharon Cummin

** Review by Kylie from Bloggers From Down Under **

Maddie and Pete have just shared the most amazing night of their lives so far, together. While Pete had known it was Maddie, the same can’t be said for Maddie. When Pete reveals who he really is, Maddie is not prepared for the rush of emotions it causes.

Pete is determined to win back his girl, and will stop at nothing.

It all starts innocently enough with flowers. That soon becomes breakfast, movies, dinners and dozens and dozens of flowers.

It doesn’t take long for Maddie to see what she has missed out in for the last ten years.

What transpires is a beautiful love story of not only second chances but brand new beginnings.

The perfect lazy day read. Sincerely heartfelt and totally consuming.

Sensational Sharon

Our Book Review – The Dark Night by Sharon Cummin

** Review by Kylie from Bloggers From Down Under **

All Maddie wants to do after a hard day at work, is come home, relax in a nice hot bath with a glass or two of wine.

After college, (where her and the love of her life went their separate ways, an accounting degree for her and partying and fun times for her boyfriend), that’s all she seems to do. It’s all about work, and not much time for anything else.

10 long years have passed since college and no man has ever met the standards that Maddie has set. In other words, no one stood a chance against Pete, her ex.

At a Halloween party that night, Maddie meets a tall, dark stranger, whom she immediately feels comfortable with. She more or less spills her whole life story to this stranger, and before she knows it, she’s upstairs naked with this glorious man worshipping her body. What harm could come from a simple one night stand?

But Maddie is about to realise that her life is about to become a lot more complicated.

Another fast paced, straight to the point read from Sharon, bit holy heck, this is so hot and raw.

I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Our Book Review – Playing Hardball, Part 5 (A Baseball Romance Serial) by Sharon Cummin

Here I was, sitting down reading the final part of what has been an amazing story so far………then BAM it all fell into place. Well played Sharon, well played!!

Lucy and Lance have welcomed their little princess into the world, but not without complications. It’s during this time that both of them finally realise the love they have not only for their new daughter, but for each other.

There’s just one person Lucy needs to tell first, but I won’t spoil that for you!!!

In a wonderfully written story, all loose ties are tied up tightly.

This instalment literally bought me to tears with its tenderness and the way Sharon is able to tackle some pretty heavy topics so gracefully.

Amazing 5/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When we a younger and in school we all have that crush that we remember, that one person you crush on but don’t think it will ever happen. What about if years down the track you come face to face with that crush?

Knowing he is only a lot hotter now than back in the day.

What would you do if you bumped into that crush?

But knowing that it will never happen as you think you don’t fit into that “Hot skinny chick mold”.

Pepper is a little on the heavier side and has a pretty low self-esteem due to her body image and being be little’d constantly by other but she is young funny, bright and bubbly she is hard not to love even when she tries to be invisible.

Jason is sexy as sin, hotter than hell. After moving back to his parent’s house after finding his wife in bed with another man he tries to pick himself up after his all-time low. He needs to get back on the “horse” so to say!

He sees Pepper mowing her parent’s lawn and has to be buried inside her!

He wants her.

No strings attached.

No feelings.

No lies

Just sex.

We weren’t that keen on Jason some parts we found him to be a bit of a jerk the way he spoke to Pepper we found ourselves wanting to stab him in the eye for being disrespectful but he does redeem himself a little.

All in all a good book with lots of laughs!

Thanks Grace for another good book!

Our Book Review – Stripped Bounty by Dorothy F. Shaw

Okay so I’m going to be the first to admit that this is the first novel I’ve ever read from this author, so nervous is what I felt going in. Not having a clue what to expect it was a case of dive in girl and see what you get.

Well guys what I got was one hell of a read.

Meet Badger.
Dark, dangerous, sinfully delicious.
An ex-biker who nows calls bounty hunting/security his new work, Badger works for Deuce as head security making sure that everyone is behaving and keeping the dancers safe at all times.
A loner, Badger only has time for one night stands, no emotions, just take them and leave them.
But Badger never sees her coming.
Everything that Badger swears and lives by will change forever.
She will be his game changer.

Meet Rosie.
She’s young, beautiful and now very much alone. Married to a man who thought the underworld was the place to be, receiving that one phone call Rosie knew she had lost him forver. Murdered by the hands of monsters, Rosie does the last thing her husband asked her to do.
But what she didn’t bargain on is the same monsters wanting her.
So she runs as far away as she can. She runs to Phoenix.
And lands straight into Badgers lap.

Welcome to Badger and Rosie’s world guys.

What a read. Action-packed, raw, gritty, confronting, emotionally charged and all things naughty and delicious. It had everything that I as a reader could ask for.
It had me captivated from the beginning to end and I thoroughly enjoyed the adventure that the author took me on.
If you are a lover of all things action with a touch of naughtiness, great banter and grittiness then this is the read for you.

4 stars.

Will this be the book when Lucy and Lance both get their s••t together and realise they love each other and belong together?

We know that Lucy is pregnant with Lance’s baby. We know they are both over the moon about having a baby, but they both still have their doubts, not only about each other, but about being together, as a family, as one.

Lance proves himself in so many ways, I just wanted to yell at Lucy,” open your eyes girlfriend”, but she’s still carrying the guilt of being the reason her husband was killed.

I just know the last instalment of this story is gonna be huge. Their are so many things that are running through my mind about what the outcome could be. But for now, I give this part 4 a very deserving 5/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our Book Review – The Fall by T. Gephart

** Provided on behalf of the author for an honest review **
** Review written by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

Are you ready for The Fall?

He is darkness.
A man with no soul.
A man surrounded by darkness, not a hint of colour in his life.
Loved by nobody.
A loner.
A man with blood on his hands.
A man who simply doesn’t fear death.
A man that will take your last breath from you without blinking an eye.
A man so cold and calculated, void of any emotion he will take a life.
It’s how he lives.
A man failed by a system which has left him so tormented and broken that death is his outlet.
It’s all he knows.
The pain he inflicts on his victims his his vice, it’s what he lives and breathes for.
But one job will change everything.
She will ultimately be his game changer.
She will make him question everything.

Born into an underground family.
Her father a drug lord.
She has seen things that no girl should have ever witnessed in a lifetime.
She leaves her home, hell bent on revenge.
To take down her own father and his crimes.
It’s her life mission, even if it means her life is in danger.
Even if it means that she will spend her life forever watching over her shoulder.

But what happens when these two people, Michael and Sophias worlds collide?

Sent to her home by her father, it’s Michaels job to protect Sophia.
There is a bounty on her head.
The powers of the underground want Sophia gone.
She knows too much.
She’s a risk.
Michael has to keep her alive.

But can he?
Can Michael keep her safe?
Does he even want too?
Can Sophia trust Michael who is everything she isn’t enough to keep her untouched?
Or will this be the end for them both?

Guys you just need to read The Fall to find out.

I have read other novels from T. Gephart, but believe me when I say this was so completely unexpected and quite frankly threw me completely.

The Fall is nothing short of gut turning, raw, confronting, dark, gritty, highly emotional and all things sinful. It’s adrenaline pumping, edge of your seat stuff that leaves you second guessing at every turn.
I was blown away by the twists, the twists guys was nothing short of bone chilling.
But what drew me the most……The ending…..Yes people the ending. I had to literally read it twice because I couldn’t believe what I was reading. It left me breathless.

I seriously can’t rate this novel high enough, it had everything I could have wanted from a novel and so much more. I am speechless people, completely speechless.

A huge 5 star read.
