** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **
This is the first novel that I have ever read from this author, so I had no idea what to expect.
What I got was a beautifully written, breathtaking read that gripped my heart and soul.
We meet Carter and Molly.
They have known each other since they were eight years old.
Best friends they did everything together growing up.
They had the same circle of friends.
They did what normal kids do…..Jump in puddles, dance in the rain.
Their friendship was perfect.
But their lives were so very different.
While Carter had the perfect childhood home, with loving parents and a great brother, Mollys childhood was what nightmares were made of.
Carter always knew that Mollys life was different, but had no idea what it was or why.
As adults, their friendship was tested.
Molly moved away from their home town, she had too. The pain of staying was just too much. Molly escaped her monsters, but it meant leaving Carter behind.
Carter wasn’t free of hurt and pain. While left behind he found love and happiness, but it was soon to be taken away from him, leaving him a shell of a man with no hope of a future.
Drawn back together, Carter and Molly fight against all the odds to find happiness again.
They fight to erase the hurt and pain of their pasts.
They grow and learn to trust again.
They learn to reveal their secrets, their desires, their needs.
They both learn to love.
A beautifully written novel full of emotion I couldn’t put down.
Raw, heartbreaking and at times highly confronting.
Breathtakingly beautiful and highly emotional in it’s deliverance.
A truly uplifting and inspiring love story that tore at my heart strings.
A highly recommended read.
