Book Review – Love My Way by Kate Sterritt

** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

I have loved every novel that I’ve read by Kate Sterritt, but this, this is by far her best work to date.

This novel is so unique with so much innocence and purity it actually took my breath away. Highly emotional and at times quite confronting. So much depth and detail you can actually feel every single emotion shine through. Heartbreaking and heartwarming.
It’s beauty is breath taking.
It’s sheer perfection.
It has simply left me speechless.

We meet Emerson.
A beautiful girl with a dark and tormented childhood who meets a boy that will change her whole world.

We meet Mereki.
A beautiful boy who will be the one to help her when she needs it most.

We meet Josh.
A man who falls in love with her, and will stop at nothing to mend the damage that has been caused.

This is their story.
A story about grief and pain.
A story about secrets revealed.
A story about hurt and pain.
A story about trust and hope.
A story about self discovery.
A story about unconditional love.

I honestly don’t want to give anything more away but I will say this……

I cannot rate Love My Way high enough. Such a raw and emotional read that you just do not want to miss. A novel that every reader can relate to. A read that will swallow you whole emotionally. A read that will stay with you long after you have finished it.

5 stars.

Book Review – Savage Reckoning (A Savage Love Duet #2) by T.L. Smith

** Provided on behalf of the author for an honest review **
** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

Every time you pick up a novel by T.L. Smith you know one thing is for sure….You are always guaranteed twisted.

And that is exactly what she delivered.

We are reunited with the dark and dangerous Connick, the delusion Derrick, and the fragile and broken Malinka.
A love triangle of sorts, both Connick and Derrick will fight to have the one woman that they are both obsessed with. The one woman that has completely captivated them. The one woman that they are willing to do anything for.

But Malinka is broken, damaged. The scars from her past haunt her each and every single day. Can she ever have a normal life, or will she be destined to be surrounded by the evil that lurks?

We are also introduced to someone new. Someone who isn’t afraid to speak the truth. Someone who isn’t afraid to make their presence felt. Someone who isn’t afraid to take a life.

What an absolute brilliant read. A love story, yes that’s right a love story but in a twisted, dark and dangerous kind of way that I couldn’t put down.
T.L just completely blows my mind every time I sit down to read her. Savage Reckoning was dark, sinful, edgy, confronting, heartbreaking, breathtaking and deadly. It had everything that I could’ve asked for. Sheer brilliance.

An absolute perfect way to end the Savage Love Duet.

Book Review – Backseat With The Billionaire (A Bad Boy Dark Romance) by Lilah May

** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

A debut novel by Lilah May, I had absolutely no idea what I was going to get reading this novel, and I was excited to dig in.

What I did get was a hot, raunchy, heartwarming, fun loving read that I couldn’t put down.

We meet Lisa.
Married with a teenage daughter.
Life is good with Lisa, or so she thought.
Until she discovers that her husband is cheating on her.
Not just cheating on her, but cheating on her with a younger woman, a MUCH younger woman.
And she has the pictures to prove it.
So Lisa does what any woman would do.
Kicks his butt to the kerb. (But how she does it is absolutely hilarious)

We meet Bobby.
Young, dark and dangerous, all things sinful.
A college student who is not only a MMA fighter, but a billionaire in his own right.
He has worked hard for his success.
But there was a reason behind it.
Bobby made sure he could go to her and give her everything.
Booby made sure he could go to her and provide her with everything her heart desired.
Because Bobby has been in love with her all of his short life.

Yes that’s right folks, Bobby is in love with Lisa, she just doesn’t know it yet.
But she will.
And when she does, questions will be asked.
What will Bobby’s parents think?
What will Lisa’s daughter think?
Can they overcome the age difference?
Can Lisa overcome the betrayal?
Will Lisa let Bobby in?
Can Bobby break down all of Lisa’s walls and finally have her?
What secrets will be revealed that could destroy everything?

Again I have to say guys I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. From the very first chapter I was hooked. It was all things naughty and delicious with a touch of humour that had me laughing my butt off. I loved both Bobby and Lisa’s character, the banter between them was playful, the chemistry between them was explosive. A great read from Lilah May.

** Review by Kylie from Bloggers From Down Under **

“He was the ruler by which I measured my growth. He was the stick by which I measured my tears. He was the tape by which I measured my success and he was the string by which I measured the size of my heart”

Set your mind back to your high school years, and imagine there is a boy who you were secretly, desperately in love with. Imagine if you never told him how you felt. Imagine being on the receiving end of taunts and teasing by said boy.

Our Book Review – Taken (Voyeur #1) by Elena M. Reyes and N. Isabelle Blanco

** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

Taken…..What the ever loving god did I just read?
I have read twisted novels before, but this….This is twisted at the highest level. Dark, depraved, gritty, raw……I am still struggling to even get my head around it.
It’s sheer genius.
Manipulation at it’s finest.
And I loved every minute of it.

We meet both Ivy and Noah. Best friends who wake up in a room with no doors, no windows, no way out.
They have both been drugged and kidnapped and are now stuck in a room together, but not alone.
Their clothes have been stripped.

But who has taken them?
What do they want?
Who is watching their every move?
What will Ivy and Noah have to do to save themselves?
How far will they be psychologically pushed before they break?
Will they survive the depths of the hell and depravity they are now faced with?
Or is this the end for them both?

I am not giving anything away. I just refuse, because this novel needs to be read.
A short read that I totally absorbed myself in to that only took a few hours to read, but has left me absolutely speechless and wanting more. A read that will manipulate your every thought. A read that will leave your mind reeling. A read that will sicken you to your very core, but will leave you wanting, needing.

A definite must read.

Book Review – The Cowboy’s Virgin by Emerson Rose

** Provided on behalf of the author for an honest review **
** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

I have read everything Emerson Rose , and I mean everything and I have absolutely adored every single novel that she was written.
But I must say I was a little, no let me rephrase….I was a whole lot of apprehensive when this arc fell into my Kindle. And why?
Because cowboys are so not my thing. Yes I know it’s criminal, but it’s just not all that appealing to me.

But The Cowboy’s Virgin…..Wow just wow!
It had me captivated from beginning to end. I absolutely loved it.

We meet Beau.
Strong, young, and all things delicious.
He works on his family’s ranch out in Montana.
Living with his parents, Beau’s work is gruelling and time consuming.
Long hours spent working on his family’s ranch, doesn’t leave much time for anything. not even relationships.
Beau is very much single and has no intention to change his single, playboy status.
But when a tornado rips through, everything will change.
Everything in Beau’s world will be turned upside down.
He will be faced with the enemy.
She will be his games changer.

We meet Charlotte.
She’s young, beautiful and vibrant.
Leaving her home town of Montana, Charlotte has been studying to be a vet.
Her love of animals came from her family’s ranch, being raised with them.
It’s her dream to graduate and then move back to Montana to be the main vet at her family’s ranch.
But when a tornado rips through, everything will change.
Everything in Charlotte’s world will be turned upside down.
She will be faced with her enemy.
He will be her game changer.

Welcome to the world of Beau and Charlotte and a one hundred year old grudge between families.

What an amazing read. It had everything in a novel and so much more. It was fun loving, lighthearted, raw, highly emotional and at times confronting.
I don’t want to give anything away, but some of the subject matter was soul crushing and it made my heart ache literally.
It was simply a beautiful read.

A huge thank you to Emerson Rose who has given us a gorgeous and breathtaking read about hope, trust, fear and love.

Book Review – Revised Rules (Book #3) by Hanleigh Bradley

** Review by Kylie from Bloggers From Down Under **

These books just keep getting better and better, so much so, that I devoured this book in less than a day!!!

Aurora has moved in with Landon, and while everyone else thinks it’s too quick, they both know they love one another, and are both in this for the long haul. But what will happen when Aurora’s mother finds out? Just about every single one of her rules has been broken, in a matter of a few months! The reaction from both Aurora and Landon is priceless, and had me silently cheering them both on.

But just when it seems smooth sailing, disaster strikes that could spell the end of their relationship, and it will definitely pull on your heartstrings. My advise? Keep tissues handy 😥

I cannot give this book enough praise. And while I’m not usually one to like a book to end with loose ends, I’m glad this book still has questions that need answers. It can only be good news for Hanleigh’s newest devotee, right? More books ( pretty please 🤓🙏🏻📚📖)

5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
