Having read and reviewed Lauren’s first book about the anonymous sex club, Bridge, I was eager to start Falling Into The Black. But this story is a little different than Patrick and Kamii’s.

Evangeline and Carter are high school sweethearts, but they know they only have four months together before Carter leaves to go to medical school. They cram as much as they can into those four months, but eventually, once Carter leaves, they both realise long distance just isn’t for them.

But Evangeline carries with her a secret. One she has only confided to to one person.

The following ten years are hard for both Carter and Angie, as she calls herself nowadays.

But never far from their minds, is the one who got away.

Fate definitely has a lot in store for these two. They reconnect at Bridge, each having no idea who the other is.

While I thought Black Widow was a heart stopping read, Falling Into The Black held me absolutely spellbound from beginning to reading through tears to the very end.

Believe me if I could rate this read any higher I definitely would.

A massive 5/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
