Pretty Stolen Dolls (Pretty Little Dolls #1) by and K. Webster

** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

I have heard so many things about this novel and I have had it sitting in my Kindle forever. Trying to pick it up has been a challenge with other reading commitments, but I couldn’t resist any longer. I had to read this no matter what.

And boy am I glad I did.

Twisted….The ultimate twisted a novel could ever get.
Dark….So dark it was almost like it darkened my own soul.
Sickening, raw, graphic and all things gut-wrnching….This is what this novel is to me.

And I loved every minute of it.

Jade and Macy.
Sisters joined at the hip.
The love they share is unique.
Jade being older, it’s her job to protect her little sister Macy.
Their daddy taught them that monsters lurk everywhere and to always be careful, never talk to strangers.
The girls ALWAYS take their daddy’s advice.
That is until one fateful day at a flea market.
That is until Macy so desperately wants a doll that Jade will cave and do anything for her little sister to have it.
Even if it means doing the complete opposite of what they were both taught.
And what happens next is what nightmares are made of.

Jade and Macy are taken.
They will become the monsters prisoners.
They will become his play things.
They will be come his dolls.

Four long years locked away from the world, tortured, abused both mentally and psychically, innocence shattered, Jade finally makes her escape vowing to return for her sister.
Years, eight long years Jade has been free with still no success in finding her baby sister.
No evidence, no trail.
Not even Jade, now detective can get her any closer to solving her sister’s whereabouts.

How can Jade deal with the guilt of leaving her behind?
Will Macy survive at the hands of the monster still keeping her?
Can Jade save her or is it too late?

Guys I have so much love for this novel. Such a graphic, dark and powerful read that I couldn’t put it down. Devouring it in just one day I was completely blown away. A  manipulation of the mind that left me speechless.
I cannot wait to dive into the next.
A spectacular read.
