In this easy to read short novel we meet Cassie.
She has a life that every girl growing up dreams of.
A wonderful marriage, beautiful home, three gorgeous children, the youngest only one month old. Her husband Jeff is everything she could ever possibly ask for. He has taken care of her since college and Cassie has never wanted for anything.
Life is great.
But returning home from their lake house, Cassie’s world is about to be turned upside down.
Standing at the door of her marital home, Cassie discovers that her beloved husband has been living a double life….With his assistant.
Cassie’s world is shattered and she does the only thing she can think of….
But her options are limited. Shunning her family for three years how can Cassie now turn to them in her time of need?
And when she finally makes the decision to go to her brother for help will she be welcomed with open arms?
And who the hell is Parker?
A short read that I completed in a short few hours it was entertaining but fell a little short for me. I enjoyed it, but I did find myself confused trying to work out the relationships between the characters. I also couldn’t find any sort of emotional connection to Cassie. I found myself wanting to throw my Kindle because of her selfishness and neediness.
An entertaining read that I’m sure readers will absolutely adore, it just wasn’t for me.
