Our Book Review – Father by Clarissa Wild

** Provided on behalf of the author for an honest review **
** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

Forgive them Father for they have sinned.

Frank, a preacher.
Laura, a beautiful woman.
One moment in the confessional.
A dirty act committed.
They couldn’t help it.
They both needed it.
The desire too strong.
They needed that one moment like they both needed air.

But what they don’t realise is that their paths are going to cross in the most dark and dangerous way.
What they don’t know is they have a connection, a past they already both share.
A past shrouded in blood, evil, darkness and death.
A past that will come back to haunt them both.
A past that will become their reality.
Secrets will be revealed.
Evil will surface.
Death will come.
Blood will be shed.
Revenge will be taken.
But at what cost?

Welcome to Frank and Laura’s world.

I am literally lost for words….Literally.
I have absolutely no clue what to say.
I am speechless.
I absolutely loved it.

Dark and seriously twisted.
Sinfully delicious.
Naughty and humorous.
Filthy and dirty.
Wrong, just wrong.
But god what an absolute brilliant read.
I couldn’t put it down.
I loved every single page turned.
I couldn’t get enough.
I just wanted more and more.
Yes greedy…..Isn’t that a sin?
Maybe so, but Clarissa Wild absolutely nailed this novel to the point that it completely consumed me.
I just couldn’t get enough.
Now granted it may not be for everyone, because after all this is a novel about a preacher who for lack of a better word is just plain sinful, but I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough.

Go on, I know you want to.
Read it guys, you will not be disappointed, even if it is a sin.

Our Book Review – Wicked Revenge: A Wicked Angels MC Novel by Zoey Derrick

** Provided on behalf of the author for an honest review **
** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

MC novels. We have all read them.
But this one is so very different on every scale.

We meet Loki and Kiwi in this amazing story of death, betrayal, deception and truth.

Kiwi lost her parents at a young age as a result of a car accident, which left her brother Kellan to raise her on his own.
Kellan does everything in his power to protect Kiwi from the club life, even though they were both raised right in the thick of it.
But in a blink of an eye, Kiwi is left alone.
Her brother murdered, right in front of her very eyes.
Losing her brother, Kiwi is destined to find the killers and seek the ultimate revenge, no matter how long it takes.
But she needs help.
So she turns to the one person she trusts in the whole wide world, the one person she has always wanted but could never have.

Forward six years, it’s time that Kiwi seeks out the monsters that ruined her life.
But at what cost?

Who will live?
Who will die?
What secrets will be revealed?
What is Loki hiding?
What is Kiwi hiding?
Will the truth reveal itself?
And who will pay the ultimate price?

Guys this novel is absolute perfection. From beginning to end it completely consumed me.
Raw, gritty, dark and downright sinful with twists and turns that I never, and I mean NEVER saw coming.
There was no predictability to it at all.
Simply a beautifully executed novel.

Zoey Derrick, you’re a star. A brilliantly in depth novel that I simply couldn’t get enough of. I just kept wanting more and more. I didn’t want to FINISH IT!!

To anyone who loves MC and is a lover of biker boys, and bad ass chicks then this is the novel for you. I highly recommend this novel

Our Book Review – Full Tilt (Full Tilt #1) by Emma Rush

** Review by Kylie from Bloggers From Down Under **

As I’m a newbie to Emma’s books, I didn’t know what to expect when given this book to read and review. And while I struggled a little at the beginning, a dear friend persuaded me to keep going…….. and I am so so glad I did.

“We might not have months or years, but we have moments. Thousands upon thousands of them. Let’s take each moment, seize it and wring it dry.”

This is Kacey, a former rock chick, and Jonah’s story. And what an amazing story it is.

Jonah is dying. The last thing he needs is some former rock chick intruding on his scheduled life. And he definitely doesn’t want to be romantically involved with someone when he has mere months to live.

This moving story will definitely have you wanting to live your life to the absolute fullest, making every moment count. I cannot praise Emma enough for her beautiful story.

Our Book Review – Her Marine – Emerson Rose

** Provided on behalf of the author for an honest review **
** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

Written from a dual pint of view we get to meet Kimber and Garcia in Emerson Rose’s new novel Her Marine.

Garcia, a marine fell in love, deeply in love, with a very pregnant and beautiful Kimber.
It was love at first sight for them both.
Kimber recently divorced, so she was a little afraid to free fall in love again, but she did with Her Marine, Garcia.

Moving in together, Kimber and Garcia were happy, revelling in each other, enjoying their love for each other, waiting on the arrival of a beautiful baby that Kimber was having. Even though the baby wasn’t Garcia’s, he promised to love and cherish the baby like it was his own. There was never a question.

And then there was three.
Kimber, Garcia and Grayson, a beautiful baby boy.
Their lives were now complete.
They had everything they wanted.
They were now a family.

But nothing would prepare them both for what was bout to come?

What happens when secrets revealed?
What happens when Kimber finds out the truth about Garcia, his family and his past?
What happens when Kimber’s ex-husband Caleb now wants to be a part of Grayson’s life?
Will Kimber and Garcia survive the turbulence headed their way, or will it ultimately destroy them?

A great read that I read from start to finish in one afternoon. Again Emerson Rose delivered a novel with plenty of suspense, twists and turns, emotion and depth that kept me entertained the whole way through.
Oh and did I forget to mention how sinfully delicious it is too.

A must read for those who love a man in uniform who takes charge and always gets what he wants!

Our Book Review – Where Good Girls Go To Die by Holly Renee

** Provided on behalf of the author for an honest review **
** Review by Kylie from Bloggers From Down Under **

“Parker’s and my love story wasn’t a perfect romance novel. It was complicated, filled with lies, heartbreak and secrets. I didn’t know if we could ever get past everything we had been through”.

Parker and Liv’s story begins four years ago. When they were younger, in love and scared of the obstacles in their way.

When Liv receives the news that changes everything, she runs. Runs away from her family. Away from her life. And away from the only man she’s ever loved.

Fast forward four years, and Liv’s life is a whole lot different now. She’s a dancer at a high end club. Imagine her surprise when, hosting a bachelor party, the same mesmerising green eyes from her past, and the man she wants to forget, come back into her life.

But it’s not easy sailing for Parker or Liv. She’s still hurt and he’s about to get married.

An intoxicating read that will hold you absolutely spellbound. I loved every thing about this book.

Our Book Review – Bright Side (Bright Side #1) by Kim Holden

** Review by Kylie from Bloggers From Down Under **

Where on earth to start??
First things first, this book will break you…….into tiny little pieces……….many, many times over. But I beg of you, if someone’s recommended this book to you, please take the time to read it!!

“Trust and my heart are linked. If I trust you it means I’ve let you into my heart. And I trust you not to hurt me. The pinnacle of trust, the trust I’ve never afforded to anyone, is the scariest: true love.”

And so begins the most (as cliche as it sounds) beautiful love story I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading.

This is Kate’s, Keller’s and Gus’ story. And while there will be absolutely no spoilers from me, I do believe this story will make you appreciate the small things: rainbows, sunsets and Twix bars to name a few.

Oh, and keep a steady supply of tissues on the ready, you’re gonna need them.

Fantastic. Sensational. Heart wrenchingly great.

Our Book Review – Caden’s Command (Finding Submission #2) by Zoey Derrick

** Provided on behalf of the author for an honest review **
** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

Caden’s Command is the second instalment of the Finding Submission series, following the first Aryn’s Desire.

What can I say guys……This, I absolutely loved this.
This novel was instant love for me. I couldn’t put it down.
After reading Aryn’s Desire which I had a love/hate relationship with, I couldn’t get my hands on Caden’s Command quick enough. I read it in just one afternoon, I wanted, no needed to know what happened to both Aryn and Caden.
And I was not disappointed.

Caden’s Command starts where Aryn’s Desire finishes off.
Aryn is baring his soul to Caden, kneeling at his feet, wanting to be Cadens submissive.
Caden desperately wants this to be true, but he fears that Aryn may still be confused. But he has to take the chance, because Caden hasn’t met anyone who has evoked any feeling in him for ten long years. Cadens need to be with Aryn is so great, that he is practically willing to do anything for their relationship to flourish.

But what secrets is Caden hiding?
Will Caden be able to bare his own soul to Aryn?
Can Aryn accept Cadens past?
Or is it all too late?

Guys you need to read this. Again we are back into the BDSM scene with this novel with a whole lot of sinfully delicious M/M scenes that will leave you breathless. Sexy, powerful, confronting, heartbreaking, breathtaking. This is what Caden’s Command is. Such an all consuming read you just don’t want to end. I know I didn’t. A beautifully written read that takes you on a soul searching journey through the eyes of not only a submissive, but also a dominant.

Overall a simply brilliant read.
Thank you so much Zoey for giving us Caden and Aryn’s story. A story that will stay with me always.

5 stars.
