Our Book Review – Where Good Girls Go To Die by Holly Renee

** Review by Kylie from Bloggers From Down Under **

“Parker’s and my love story wasn’t a perfect romance novel. It was complicated, filled with lies, heartbreak and secrets. I didn’t know if we could ever get past everything we had been through”.

Parker and Liv’s story begins four years ago. When they were younger, in love and scared of the obstacles in their way.

When Liv receives the news that changes everything, she runs. Runs away from her family. Away from her life. And away from the only man she’s ever loved.

Fast forward four years, and Liv’s life is a whole lot different now. She’s a dancer at a high end club. Imagine her surprise when, hosting a bachelor party, the same mesmerising green eyes from her past, and the man she wants to forget, come back into her life.

But it’s not easy sailing for Parker or Liv. She’s still hurt and he’s about to get married.

An intoxicating read that will hold you absolutely spellbound. I loved every thing about this book.

Our Book Review – Tempt The Boss by Natasha Madison

** Provided on behalf of the author for an honest review**
** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

Again, Natasha Madison has done it again.
I have been completely blown away and loved every minute of it.
Every page, word, sentence, paragraph, chapter…..I LOVED THIS NOVEL!!

We meet Lauren.
A single Mum to two beautiful kids Rachel and Gabe.
Her ex Jake is in their life, but he broke Lauren in the worst possible way.
But she refuses to suffer anymore.
Her kids depend on her, so it’s time for Rachel step up.
That means getting a job.
Sounds easy right?
Well it’s not when her boss is Austin.

Meet Austin.
Strong, independent, all things sinfully delicious.
He’s been looking for a PA and can’t seem to find one that suits his needs.
Temp after temp, they come, they go.
He needs a great PA who will quite frankly jump when he asks them too.
And he has rules.
No personal relationships with co-workers.
It’s a rule he lives by.
But that is until Lauren walks in.

Austin and Laurens world are going to be tilted on their axis.
Their worlds will never be the same.
Rules will be broken.
This is their story.

Guys WTF….I have no idea how to review perfection.
This novel had me from the very beginning. I seriously couldn’t put it down.
This had everything, and I mean everything and so much more.
Laugh….Omfg I haven’t laughed my butt off in a novel like I did with this one. The banter between all of the characters was off the charts hilarious.
The emotion…Boy there were moments where I found my tears spilling because I was just so completely moved.
And what I found so very rare with this is that you often find yourself falling for the main characters in most novels, with Lauren and Austin being those, but I fell in love with each and every single one of characters in Tempt The Boss. Kaleigh, Noah, John, Rachel, Gabe, Cooper, Matthew….These guys all very unique, but bought so much to the story.

A heartwarming, breathtaking, sinfully delicious read that I seriously cannot recommend this high enough.
Natasha Madison just writes perfection at the highest of levels and shouldn’t be missed.

5 amazingly brilliant stars.

Our Book Review – Hurt Me, Heal Me (Dante’s Purgatory #1) by Sayara St. Clair

** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

This is the first time that I have ever read anything from this author, so I had absolutely no idea what I was getting in to. Yes I had read the synopsis, but that was all I had to go by. So really I had no idea what to expect.

What I did get was an outstanding, highly emotional, sinfully delicious, all consuming read. I honestly couldn’t put it down.

We meet Caitlan.

A beautiful young woman who for years lived by the rule of Ivan. She had met Ivan through her father who passed away when she was 19 years old. Alone in the world, Ivan convinced Caitlan to move in with him. What did she have to lose. Her mother and father were both gone, no siblings, it was just Caitlan. And she trusted him. After-all he was her fathers friend. Ivan made her feel wanted, needed.
So she moved.
But that would be the biggest mistake of her life.
Six years, six long and painful years, Caitlan was subjected to things no human being should ever live through, but Caitlan knew nothing else. She was his submissive. She always knew that she had to please Ivan, otherwise the punishments would be bloody and painful.
Ivan ultimately conditioned her, moulded her into what she was. She knew no different. But with the passing of Ivan, Caitlan had to find a way to live a life without the controlling Ivan. She had to yet again live a life of being alone, condtioned to only live one way……To submit.

Meet Paul.

Co-owner of Dante’s Purgatory. A club where Dom meets Sub. It’s his way of life.
Never any attached feelings, in Pauls world women would come and go. A successful business that is his empire.
But on this one occasion everything in Pauls world would be turned upside down.
His life would irrevocably changed forever.
She would be his game changer.

Welcome to Caitlan and Pauls world…..

Guys we have all read them, Dom and Sub, the world of BDSM, but this, this novel is uniquely different. This novel focuses on the after affects of an abusive Dom relationship and what affect it has on lives personally and psychologically.  It goes into great detail and depth of Caitlans struggle to accept who she is. It goes into great length about the life that Caitlan lived under Ivans rule, and her struggles to change the way he conditioned her.
Yes at times it was disturbing, raw and highly confronting to read, but it was mesmerising being able to read a novel based on the Subs (Caitlans) feelings, desires, wants and needs.
For me Hurt Me, Heal Me was rare and unique in every sense of the word.
For lovers of the BDSM scene, I cannot rate this novel highly enough.
An exceptional, thought provoking read.

4 stars.

Our Book Review – Rude (King’s Harlots #3) by J.M. Walker

** Provided on behalf of the author for an honest review **
** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

We meet the clan from both the The King’s Harlots and Vice One once again.
But this time we get Coby and Brogan.
This is their story, their voice.
And what a twisted, dark, sordid story it is.

I have to be honest, I am at a complete loss right now as to what to say.
My heart is broken.
It’s hard to breathe.
I am speechless.

Rude has simply broken me in such a twisted way that I have no words right now.
It has completely shattered my soul.
And the funny thing is…..I absolutely loved every minute of it.
It consumed me from beginning to end.
The emotion I felt was just mind blowing and heart crushing.
I could feel the pain and the hurt bleeding from every page turned.

Both Coby and Brogan are tortured souls.
Their pasts have moulded them in to what they are today.
They have both been broken beyond repair.
So both of them do what they can to get through life.
It can be at times a dark place for them both, but yet they both manage.

But what happens when you bring two dark and dangerous souls together?
What happens when their evil sides surface?
Can they seek comfort in each other?
Or will they tear each other apart?

I honestly don’t have any words that could make anyone understand how brilliant this novel is. Written with such depth and meaning, you can’t help but be drawn to every page turned. You can’t help but be held hostage by the darkness. You can’t help but be transfixed to the sheer dark, depraved and deadly world of Coby and Brogan.
Sickly twisted, dark, gruesome, highly confronting, soul crushing and so much more.
You do not want to miss this.

JM Walker….Thank you. You have given us perfection.

Our Book Review – Wanted: Wife 4 Navy Seals: A Military Romance by Dee Palmer

** Provided on behalf of the author for an honest review **
** Review by Kylie from Bloggers From Down Under **

“There’s a moment in time, frozen and pure when a heart is saved and all the strength holding a person together is no longer needed”

As an avid reader and huge fan of Dee’s, I was beyond excited to receive her new book. But this is like no other book she’s written. There’s still the trademark smut (enough to set your kindle alight!!!), but there’s also a heap of laughs along the way………. as well as a few tears.

Finn, after the disastrous end to her current relationship, answers a wanted ad. Not just any “guy seeking girl” ad, four navy seals want themselves a wife.

In this arrangement, “all bets are off”……..
Charge, Toxic, Pink and Tug are about to turn reserved Finn’s life upside down. But the arrangement comes with its ups and downs for Finn. And when disastrous events occur, it will test the strength of not only Finn but the boys as well.

And once things change between the five of them, the answer to all their problems literally lands on their front doorstep…….. Cue second book??? Please, please, pretty please Dee?

To say I loved every single word written is a massive understatement, Dee’s work just gets better and better.

A massive 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our Book Review – Playing to Win (A Beautiful Game, #2) by Karen Frances

** Provided on behalf of the author for an honest review **
** Review by Kylie from Bloggers From Down Under **

“Love takes you by surprise. You never know when it’s going to happen, but when it does, it’s like magic”

Once again Karen has waved her magic wand and delivered an outstanding book.

Don’t get me wrong, some of the content was a little difficult to read, but at the same time, the topic of domestic violence was given an enormous amount of respect, as it truly deserves.

And while there will be no spoilers from me, I strongly urge you to pick yourself up a copy, get comfortable (preferably with tissues), and get totally lost in the lives and live that is Fletcher and Jess ❤️⚽️

I guarantee you won’t regret it.

A well deserved 5 stars

Our Book Review – When Two Hearts Collide: A Game of Hearts Novel – Sonya Loveday and Candace Knoebel

** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

It can be a beautiful thing, but also painful.
It can make your life whole, but it can also tear you apart.
It’s one of those emotions we all long to feel.

But what happens when the one you love is unattainable?
What happens when your one true love lives worlds a part?
What happens when you’ve finally found your soul mate, but it just won’t work?
You break.
You hurt.
You bleed.
It crushes your very core.

Welcome to Charlie and Charlotte’s world.

Charlie lives in England, Charlotte in the United States.
A chance meeting while Charlotte was competing, their chemistry was off the charts.
They wanted each other.
They needed each other.
But Charlie couldn’t.
He wouldn’t allow to get emotionally attached.
It scared him to death.
So they parted ways.
But they were never far from each others thoughts.

Move forward two years.
Charlie and Charlottes worlds collide one more time.
But will they get their happily ever after?

I’ve not read either of these authors before so I wasn’t sure what to expect.
What I got was a great read that kept me intrigued from beginning to end.
I enjoyed the banter between the characters which at times was quite comical and I found myself giggling my head off.
I loved the chemistry you could feel between both Charlie and Charlotte.
Their story was light hearted, fun and a joy to read.
And on the flip side it was at times raw and a little confronting.
A novel which mixed it up with highs and lows that kept me entertained.
Overall a great read which I recommend.

4 stars.
